I have speed on channel 150 on Dish Network. I was very worried when Fox
bought Speedvision it would be all NASCAR, but despite more NASCAR
programming than before, I find more that I like than before.
I know that they can be picked up in Hawaii, but I think that the channel
offering is limited.

Gary, the only place in the US you'll see every F1 race will be on Speed
Channel. They have pretty heavy coverage of NASCAR during the season, but
they're the only place where you'll get F1, WRC, Dakar Rally, CART (or
whatever it turns into), ALMS, etc.

Probably not anything that has their sort of modifications. After all,
for them it's not about racing, it's about what they think looks cool.
That said, some of them are into drag racing, and I think some of the
drag racing series are starting to include these cars. The only other
contests are the ones that involve drifting, which hasn't yet become any
sort of sanctioned series that would get coverage.
Some of the touring car races from Europe (also on Speed) have Hondas
and such racing. They also sometimes show SCCA racing.
But I think for excitement factor, you'd need to steer them towards one
of two things:
* WRC or SCCA Rally - these are cars they'll recognize, and it's got
that 'extreme' aspect to it. Plus, many of them have probably been
playing video games with these very cars.
* F1 - The kids that are further into this than just slapping some
stickers and clear taillights on their cars are frequently heavily into
the technology aspect of things. You can't get much more technical than
F1.
