Just some history.

TRF was a going concern with a good inventory until Charles Runyon
decided he wanted to live his fantasy of being a pub owner during WWII.

He dipped heavily into the TRF operating funds to have an authentic
early English pub built with large timbers and all the trimmings. First
class all the way and from what I hear it was a very good quality
"English pub". The local folks evidently thought of it more as a fancy
place they went to for special occasion rather than the pub down the
street here they would stop off at after work for a bite and a drink so
it didn't make money.

Meanwhile TRF was threadbare with little inventory and no cash to buy
inventory. Charles thought up the TRF Investment Programme as a way to
rise funds to buy inventory to sell. The programme has been going on
for what? maybe a decade now and the company is still afloat.

If you are going to rebuild your 3, you might as well loan him 5K to
help him buy the parts to resell to you. He is local to you. But so is
Moss.
