Hi all,
Had an interesting Saturday at Lime Rock in Connecticut (VSCCA vintage
races). Drove my mom's very well-preserved, low mileage '64 Chevy Impala
around for two laps (4 people on board) during the touring session. Now I
want to go fast there! Interesting track. I used to watch races there as
a kid in the fifties (went to the very first race there, in fact) and got
to drive on the track in 1963 with a very anemic '53 Porsche coupe, but
this was better because I've had all this experience since then and,
well... now I want to put my foot in it and GO! The day was great though.
Once exposed, one can *never* quit racing. It's like a euphoric disease...
What a lot of beautiful pre-'59 cars at Lime Rock! Large field, all
spectacular!
Not really back to the list as I'm off to Las Vegas to instruct some more
Thursday-Sunday. Between now and then, I have to do two week's work in
three days.
'til later.
