In a 1967 Australian road test, the top speed for a solex 67 2000 was
124 MPH. and that was on bias ply tires. Some claims of 150 MPH have
been made. A 2000 SU wont go over 120. The reason they put in a 3.7
rear end was to get the solexe top speed over 120(IMHO) . Nitrus powered
roadsters have been known to go quickly. Check the accuracy of your
speedo before claiming anything over 120!!! Ask Mike Kerr what the 350
HP turbo's top speed was?
