Have you considered black wrinkle paint? It hides minor surface
imperfections such as light rust pitting, and is quite easy to apply. I pay
about $4 for a 12oz aerosol can at the local parts store. Application tip:
follow the directions on the can, except when you apply the last coat and
wrinkling begins, use a hair drier or heat lamp on sections where the
wrinkling is less pronounced to get an even finish. Without "help",
sometimes an area just won't wrinkle properly.
