Not Roadster - silicone sealer?

But at least it's a Nissan.  Does anyone know the best way to clean off old 
clear silicone sealer?  I have a 3rd brake light on the cab of my 94 Nissan PU, 
and it looks like an after market.  It LEAKS badly and I want to remove it and 
start over.  There's a mess of clear sealer around it, and I
don't think I'll get a good seal unless I start with a clean surface.
