Seriously, though - 5th on the Roadster 5-speed box is an overdrive, and 
overdrives are
generally intended for highway speed cruising on flat to v. mild grades. If 
you're gonna
accelerate (to pass a Miata or other lesser automobile) or if you have to pull 
a grade
that's more than 2% or so, I'd drop her into 4th and let that U20 work in an 
RPM range
where she can really pull.
