What I found is, when I fix/redo 1 thing, then something else sticks out
as needing attention.
For example, I used to think that my seats were prety good/OK. Now that
I've
refinished the dash, redid the door panels, redid the rear compartment, etc,
the
seats look pretty shabby. I don't think it ever ends????

This car is not going to be a daily driver, just a weekend
toy, and a third car in a pinch. I guess I could have
bought a car that was already cleaned up, possibly for less
than I'll put into the car, but where is the fun in that?
I would love to just drive the car a bit, but it really
does need to be cleaned up before it is driveable. Adam
did a good job of keeping the mechanics up, but he spent no
$$$ on the looks of the car. (Well, not much anyway.)
On a more sober note, the actual cost of the cosmetic fixes
could easily put me into this car a bit more than I had
anticipated. Yet, this is possibly the one time in my life
when I'll have the time to get my hands a bit dirty. If
the whole project falls on its face, I'll take it as a good
lesson, (what was I thinking, anyway?) and move on. If the
project turns out, I'll have something worth holding on to
for a while.
