slow drain on battery

I've had a slow drain on my battery for a while now & could never figure it
out.
After following the suggestion from this list of removing fuses to narrow the
possible circuits I found it was on the brake light / dash circuit.
Turned out to be my clock which has never worked.
I am thinking of replacing the clock with a voltmeter or....?
Any suggestions?
