I don't know if anyone ever makes it into Japanese book stores to "read", but
from time to time I have checked out the automotive section and magazine rack.
This months issue of "Nostalgic Hero", August, volume 86, special edition,
covers the best 15 restored cars. Number 15 is a 1965 1500. There are 3 pages
of pictures devoted to a clean, maroon colored, mostly stock two seater. It
has a good picture of the motor with some sort of intake manifold
modification. It looks like the water hose is redirected to the front of the
radiator. Perhaps a secondary radiator? Anyway a "Skyline" has first place,
"Fairlady Z432" takes second. There are other cars as well, Datsun, Toyota,
Honda. A few 6 cylinder 2000cc Nissan motors with triple Mukuni's. Three pages
on the history of Nissan corp. It shows tons of car ads for all makes, used
cars for sale (some LHD), lots of parts ads and web sites. Very interesting
just to look at. A friend has offered to translate part of it. Unfortunately I
don't think the mag has a web site.
