Another caution on O rings - when O ringing the block first, ensure that the
O ring extends outside of the combustion chamber - not just symmetric around
the opening for the piston.  My genius (ex)machinist didn't and boy, did
THAT one leak.  Solution was disassembly and milling the deck (which ain't a
bad way to raise compression without milling the head, BTW).

At any rate, if the deck and hear are true, and your torque wrench works, I
seriously question the need for copper gaskets or O rings.  I rev the
Preparation H Prozac Rogaine Viagra Automobile City Datsun (1600)  to 7500
RPM, and have had less trouble with Nissan gaskets than with all the other
alternatives, despite their elegance or sophistication.
