I took up Victor on his invitation to the autox at Qualcomm Stadium.
I went with my 12 year old son, Robert, hoping we might get a chance
to ride with Victor but figuring there would be too many others. We
were the only ones so we each got a ride through the course. I was
fortunate enough to ride with Victor on his best run so I told my son
I was a better rider than he was.
We had a blast! It was fun watching and it was even more fun riding.
I think I'll have to try driving next time. I could have registered
as a novice I guess but I don't think my car would have passed
inspection. I can't imagine making it through the course without
getting lost even at a slow speed, let alone the speed at which
Victor went. I must tell you that when in the car it seems so much
faster than when just watching. Better than a roller coaster.
