Hey all,
Last night I bought another '68 Solex 2L, and reams of NEW parts - and
it only took 4 years of asking if it was for sale!
It's not in great shape, body-wise: but it is a really solid parts
car. The most striking features are: Solex engine with correct cam and
oil pan, hard top (I think original, but will need to check more
closely), relatively new (low miles before storage) suspension pieces
(according to the owner), and.... 2 NOS rockers, and 2 NOS rear
quarters, and 2 NOS brake drums and 1 new NOS master brake cylinder, all
in this guy's basement!!!!!! There is also a set of original SUs from
one of his previous parts cars.
Anyway, there is way more good stuff than I need for my car, and since I
have the KA24DE, I do not personally need the Solex engine.
I will be going over the engine carefully to assess it's internal state,
and if it's decent, I'll be selling it complete. If the engine seems
tired, I'll likely part the good pieces.
So, if you have a wish list, email me off list, and once I've
ascertained exactly what I bought and what I'm keeping for myself, I'll
get in touch to work out the 'details'.
