I was under the impression that the chrome plating was removed by a
chemical bath or electrolysis at the platers (tho' I could be wrong about
that) As far as removing paint and rust from little stuff I've had good
luck with the fine glass beads at about 60#. Make sure you keep the air
dry as possible. I have the air going through galvanized pipe over a
door to a drop (with a valve to drain water under the final outlet) and
it helps some. If you're in AZ or UT no worries, but if you're in SEROC
look into moisture removal. Not as critical as with painting, but a pain
when your siphon gun gets filled with mud :^p
