Speaking of cracked manifolds

Hi all,

Has anyone had any success having a cracked manifold for a 2ltr welded?  I
have had mine welded but it will be a while before it goes back in the car.  I
also have a good used header that I could put on.  I would rather put the
manifold back on, always seemed quieter to me.  But if others history tells me
that a weld will not hold then I will get the header coated and put it on.
