Well I wasn't going to tell this, as I don't fancy myself a good story teller.
However I have been having such a good time with my "Fairlady" that I just had
to share.

Directly after posting my "Dialed in" dialog, I did indeed go for a little
road trip. The wife and I decided to take a spin out to a little town near
here called Laconner WA. The trip from my house consists of all backwater farm
roads and takes around an hour. We had nearly arrived at our destination when
a 1966 Corvette pulled a U-turn right in front of us and powered up. I dropped
from 5th (cruising) to third and followed suit just to see how the little gal
would do. The road here runs straight for around 1/4 mile, then a nice long
radius turn left, followed by another 2/3 mile straight, into a long radius
turn right, then a long straight stretch into town. I really can't say how
fast we were going as my attention was on other things. We went through the
first turn fast, and the second turn faster. The Corvette pulled away a little
on the straights, (not nearly as fast as I would have thought) but I was right
on him through the corners. When we reached the stop sign at the city limits,
the driver turned and gave me the thumbs up, and said " I used to have one of
those. That's the 150 HP one isn't it?" I just smiled and waved. I guess I do
have the SU's dialed in pretty well.
One last thing. His license plate frame read "DRIVE LIKE YOU STOLE IT" I must
have one of those.

It was a good day.
