I too have a 1980's Mazda truck. On mine the guages work but the carb does
not. I use it for hauling stuff also. The carb is a disaster and it burns
oil bad. The fuses are under the hood, right?
I would clean these up real good, becaue the fuse cover doesn not do a good
job of keeping out dust and other stuff.  The guages themselves should
operate under the same principles as the roadster. Be sure to check the
sending units.
