There's no need to paint the outside. Even if you
leave the frame in salt water it will take several
years before you see any signs of rust. The zinc
will go dull after a year or two. Close to the exhaust
it will be yellow. I would recommend to use some
waxoyl inside the frame and plug up any holes.
