Yes, highly recommended. I have heard of people
fitting a header with a 1600 starter, but I tried it
(years ago B4 I knew the 2000 starter was shorter) and
had to mangle the header to make it fit. Probably
depends on the header. The difference in length is
only a inch or so, but it matters.
