A number of years ago there was a 65/66
Mustang coupe that had the station wagon
conversion done running around the
Portland area. Kind of interesting, but
I am glad Ford did not apply the Cougar
concept to the Mustang as they destroyed
the concept of the Cougar.
Datsun content: I took Mr. Hyde off of
the jack stands and backed him out of
the garage a day or two before our ice
storm hit. Then I finished wiring in my
arc welder and started learning how to
weld body panels together. A few more
passes and I should be there.
Apparently Mr. Hyde did not like sitting
outside with the "other cars" in 27
degree weather. When I went to put him
back in the garage he refused to run,
making me push him into his warm garage.
I suspect moisture in the very low fuel
tank froze in the fuel filter,
preventing proper fuel flow. I had this
happen in Everett Washington with my 68
2L in 68. Water collected in the fuel
filter and froze. It ran fine with a
new filter installed.

With a little work, the roadster
could be made to look a lot like a
