Went out to PIR for the vintage races this last weekend - Phoenix Historic
Grand Prix - had all the old Indy-ish cars out that day. Had a good assortment
of "regular" racecars too - no Roadsters, but a trio of 510's.
Also on the grounds that day was the Kruse auction ( little brother to the
Barret-Jackson) On the block was a pretty little red 67 1600 that didn't make
it's reserve of $9500.
The sign said it was a '69 (wrong!) and had a vin of spl311-3818 - yeah, I
know we're missing a digit there, prolly a leading -0-, but that was what the
sign said.
It was parked just out of the main tent exit, and was getting quite a bit of
lookie-loo attention. Good PR for our cars, I guess...
Anyone know this car ?
