There's a thread running concerning soft tops and rollbars.
Let me summarize the question, and give an answer:

A: Sometimes

There are small (and sometimes not-so-small) size differences
between the various bar manufacturers. (side note: if the bar
bolts to the floor of the luggage tray and not the back wall, it's
aftermarket).
Even the same style and manufacture rollbars vary in individual
width. That is, some bars are a touch wider at the upper corners,
and/or the radius of the curve is a little bit different.
And, there are various softtop frames as well. Some are slightly
wider than others.
Couple a 'wide' softtop with a 'narrow' bar and things are fine.
Couple a 'narrow' softtop with a 'wide' bar and the frame hits the
bar on the way down :-(
