good rules to live by, but who would volunteer to be an "officer" for our
motley crew?

Darn! The battles continue.....someone bashes and someone bashes back.....

Maybe this group can take a less from the British just once...from the North
American Spitfire Squadron (NASS) --- rules to play by: (they may not all
apply but they are civil)

Welcome members, new & old.

I wanted to take this time to thank all of you for participating in the
NASS email list. I would also like to remind you that we have a few
simple rules to keep in mind when you post. Our postings go into two
archives, so we want to keep them useful and easy to search.

1. Please sign your postings with your name, and
state/province/location. Listing of cars &/or NASS membership number is
optional, but sometimes helpful.

2. Please be kind, and trim any responses to remove ads, or excess
wording from the bottom of your email.

3. Subject line: Please make sure your subject line is accurate. If you
are changing the subject of your response, make sure the SUBJECT:
reflects the correct topic.

4. Be short & to the point whenever possible. The longer the post, the
larger the archive, and file size.

5. Please stay on topic. Our list is for the support & enthusiasm of the
Triumph GT6 & the Triumph Spitfire. Off-topic posts should be kept to a
minimum, and if possible, directly emailed to the specific person you
wish to convey your message.

6. Flames or attacks on the list will not be tolerated. First offense is
an off-list warning. Second offense is the suspension of list
privileges for a time determined by the officers board. Third offense is
the permanent banning from this list.

7. Please post complaints about the list or a list member to the
webmaster, or to any of the elected officers. They are listed below.

8. Feel free to offer your extra parts or cars for sale online. If you
own or run a business, please refrain from posting commercial messages
on this list. You may answer questions that have been posting concerning
your business, or when the topic seeks information your business offers,
but make it brief, and offer an off-list contact for the person to
contact you away from the list. We are trying to limit spam and unwanted
postings.

9. Likewise, if you are seeking a specific part or car, you are welcome
to post your inquiry to the list. Please include your name & location
and the email address where you wish to receive responses.

These items are offered to help keep this list active and on topic, so
that everyone that joins, gets the help and assistance they are looking
for, without getting loads of off-topic emails.
