Greetings Triumphi,

In preparation for the first AutoX of the season, I spent about an hour
on Saturday night trying to sew my Amici Triumphi patches to one of my
baseball caps, the operative here: trying. I learned two things: I'm not
a seamstress and needles are sharp. In relation to the "sharp thing", I
think I need bifocals...

Of course this time should have been spent installing parts on my TR6 so
that it would pass tech... oh well.

My new (used) revolutions did not get used this weekend. I neglected to
realize that I have to change my lugs to ones that are about an inch
longer than what I have - man is that center section thick on those Revs!

As an aside, I would appreciate any feedback on sources for lugs and nuts,
I'm presuming that I need 1/2-20 lugs about 2 5/8 min length...

Sunday came too early and the 5:30 alarm was not welcome. Soon I was in
the garage doing the things that I should have got done during the day on
Saturday - like putting the interior back in. The DSP folks get angry if
they think you are cheating...

At any rate, when I got to the site for the AutoX, it was maybe 40F tops.
This plus the sand, plus the seal-coated surface made for some
interesting runs indeed.

It was so slick, that I was able to break my TR6 loose at will any where
on the track. Felt like I was driving a Supercharged street machine.

But everything worked fine and despite one finish where I literally
crossed the finish line sideways, I had a really good time. I think the
car will be working okay this season - a marked improvement over last year!

Now I gotta get those lugs installed and set up my "locker" for the next
event.

C ya,
rml
