The next set, which I just looked at on the bench, COULD BE 40 YEARS OLD. I
found new original stock set of Hepolite pistons & rings and based on the box,
I suspect that they ARE about 40 years old. They are going in the next engine.
Am I going for originality of components?...no, I am going for CHEAP.
Cheap and careful....I am grateful for the reliability we have experienced.
Cant wait to look at picture when I get to work.

I remember that one!
That JAG is Larry Ligas from Largo, Florida. That shot was taken just after
Joe Alexander lapped Larry for the second time. And if you are not impressed
by that, consider the fact that this was an eight lap session at a four mile
track. That ain't too shabby, and Joe's rings are fifteen (or maybe
twenty...I forget) years old. Wait'll he gets those new rings.
