A couple weeks ago I hauled another lost TR6 home and and while I was
strapping it to the trailer I noticed the diff cover looked odd. This
morning I took another look and, compared to my other 6 and the Victoria
British catalog drawing, it's completely different. The one car has a
flatish diff cover which looks like what's in the catalog.. this one has
two rectangular protrusions at the rear, but on the outside edge nearest
the axles, and the center section is sunk in, probably a couple inches.
Were there different varieties of stock rear ends for the 6 or do I have
something else? This car has had a tube shock conversion done and
naturally I'm hoping there's something special in the rear end as well, but
thought I'd waste some bandwidth before pulling it out of the car and
checking it.
