FOT FOCUS Events:
Carey has been doing a lot to promote the concept of FOTers entering and
attending certain events on a somewhat more formal basis. Worthwhile effort,
IMHO.
It would be good to have FOT Regional folks to pick up this concept and
promote the event that might merit a bit of travel. Some that come to mind.
March: Texas World Speedway...CVAR...a few of us are plotting and planning
to return to this venue.
March: Sebring....HSR/SVRA....been there, done that. Exciting and highly
recommended.
April: ???
(Note: There is a Buttonwillow event that has been a MG/Triumph Challenge as
I understand)
May: Road America....SVRA....Henry Frye is going to make an appearance from
CT...and several more from the Midwest will be there.
June: Blackhawk Classic....VSCDA...Midwest bunch, largely.
June: Mid-Ohio...SVRA....some FOT will be there, but the big one is in 2002.
July: Mosport could be a good one sometime.
July: Road America....VSCDA....the biggest event in North America. A must
to enter or attend.
August: Monterey...Monterey Historics....more on that later....
August: Breckenridge....VTR..... plus.... Denver...Second Creek RMVR

There was considerable conversation about potential race events for FOT
regional gatherings in 2001. Unfortunately, few of these were made directly
to Joe Curry for group consideration.
The concept was to pick out existing Triumph friendly race event that
FOTers would try to put on their 2001 race calendar. Basically, all we are
going to do is show up at the event, locate near each other in the paddock,
and have fun together.
I would like to see BRIC at Road America in July as a FOT get together.
What are your suggestions?
