Hi Gang

Someone mentioned the name John Bolster to me yesterday, which reminded me of
several stories I know about dear old John who was a wonderful character and
well known motor racing commentator over here years ago. A story with a slight
Triumph connection is as follows.

Les Leston the works Triumph twin cam driver was racing at Brands Hatch (I
think in his Lotus Elite). He was having a very close dice with a driver
called Jeff Uren. After a race long duel, Les passed Jeff on the outside round
Druids corner in a masterly move. - John Bolster, who was commentating for BBC
TV, went quiet for a moment, cleared his throat, and then said on air, "Les
Leston has just 'passed uren' all the way round druids."

Whilst I'm on, I saw a truck parked yesterday and someone had thumbed the
following message on the dirty tailgate. "Dogs are for life - not just
Saturday night".

Best wishes

Paul
