Tomorrow (Monday) I will begin the task of tuning the 4A . Right now she's
running, but missing badly under load... cant work out why yet.

Have had dizzy redone and got 270 advance. So where should I set static
timing? 100 ATDC? I am not sure as manual says 40 BTDC. Cam is 2840 with 433
lift. Compression close to 10:1.

Running bigger main (104) as recommended by Jack, with his suggested needles
(RC). I have inlets at 18 thou, exhaust at about 22 thou. What should
points/plugs be in anyone's estimation.

Also put my aluminum induction box on. It takes air from a TR6 (injection)
filter canister (bugger of a thing to fit into such a small space in front
of the radiator) with enlarged (2X3") intakes which are fitted into gravel
pan under front fender area. I cut a grill into this section to grab air for
the low part of the radiator and the air intake. The induction box blows its
air over two ram tubes and onto the two air intakes on each carb. There is
no pressure build up possible in the air box.

Any advice appreciated.
