Help Rescue Recreation--New federal regulations legalize health-care
discrimination against motorsports participants, horse riders and
others
involved in recreational activities. Act now to secure health
insurance benefits for the recreational activities that you and
others enjoy.

The new regulations, which became the law of the land on May 8, are
the end result of a rule making process that dragged on for nearly
five years after Congress passed the Health Insurance Portability and
Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). While the new rules state that an
employer can't refuse health-care coverage to an employee based on
participation in legal recreational activities, employers can deny
health-care benefits for injuries suffered while taking part in those
activities.

The AMA (American Motorcyclist Assn) has created a great page to
allow us to send an email or letter to our Congressmen and Senators
on this issue.
Go to this page, enter your zip code and the system will prompt you
for the information needed to send an email or letter:
