Just a few things to add to Susan's report. Group 2 was the show of the
weekend. With 30 + cars on a 1.8 mile track, cars all over the place, Mini's
hanging it out, Sprites grinding it out, others just spinning out. Other
than my TR4 sputtering to a stop on the pace lap in race 3 Sunday morning,
the Triumphs were unstopable. Maybe I should reconsider electronic ignition;
the little wire that's supposed to be connected to the condenser became an
On-Off switch. Thanks to Uncle Jack and Tony show, a Triumph gridded first
in line, something never before seen in CVAR, and won the race! Not only
that 3 of the top 6 grid spots were TR4 or GT6 (Susan was doing well in the
Spit, but size does matter). New Blue garnered so much attention, my TR4
started to cry in shame, evidenced by a Clutch MC leak. It seems that Jeff
Wilt's TR3A was also found sobbing in a similar manner. Jack, the car is
extremely nice, thanks for bringing it south.

There is talk of next year's Hallet event being a combined CVAR and RMVR
event, with the track advertising it as a spectator event. Entries were up
from about 60 the last few years to over 100 this year. See what a little
new asphalt will do! Kent and Joe, we missed you, be well.
