The transponders are in fact standardized and function at many tracks. They
are not exclusive to SVRA. I too sought another vender in a hope these could
be gotten more cheaply. If I bought them by lots of 25 and went straight to
the manufacturer, I could save something like $25 @ unit. Not enough return
to tie up that kind of money. I ended up ordering one from SVRA and bought a
little less Guinness the next race. I am unsure if other venders have them,
I assume they do.
