I had a major problem racing my 1500 spit this weekend with oil being
forced out into the oil catch tank! So much oil came out that the sump was
dry at the end of the race! The Catch tank had filled and the rest of the
oil had found its way into the passenger footwell via the battery tray
(Very lucky).

I finished the race (just) but I now have to work out what the problem is
as it had never done this before! The following details what could have
caused it in my view but your input to a cause/solution would be
appreciated!

1: Raised compression ratio prior to the previous race (no problem at the
first race)
2: Bad catch tank design (just have a plastic bittle with pipes that go to
the botton of the tank)
3: Blowback past the head gasket?

The oil pressure runs at 60psi.

Any help would be appreciated!
