Just wanted to update the membeship on some FOT SCCA racing this last
weekend. I ran my first race on Steve Smith's new axles. Wow!!
It was a heck of a differance. It felt like the whole rear end of the car
was working better. Thanks Steve. I was running a strong third when my
overflow bottle let loose, dumping water all over the place. I had to pull
the car in because it began to over heat as it pulled air into the cooling
system. ;o( All in all I was very happy. I closed a six second gap between
me and several Rx-7s that I usually race with.
Frank Axelrod. Pulled off a second place with his Gp-Spitfire on Sat. and
unfortunately he broke while running 2nd place in his first national of the
year on Sun.
