Sounds about right. The beer keg now occupies a proud place in my shop (I
hate it when you burn up in a rolled car), but I'm still using the same
fuel.

If this is the "Peyote" I saw at Monterey Historics a few years back that
had a beer keg for a gas tank, both builder and car were "fueled" by

Actually, Peyote Mk I was a lot uglier--reportedly the body looked a lot
like a squashed trash can. One of Bill Ames' friends asked if he was on
Peyote when he built it, and that's where the name came from. So no
offense at all--you're almost exactly right. Though I suspect the real
drug of choice was beer, and lots of it.

Ok, I don't want to offend anyone, but I've seen several photos of 
Peyote, and I've wondered how it got its name.  Is it what the guy was 
smoking when he built it?
