Sunday last at the Albuquerque track and well over 100 degrees (someone
reported measuring 118 on the tarmac) I met a hale fellow, well met
Spitfire racer.
Successfully battling the heat and the MGs he expressed to me the isolation
in which he works on his Spit. Relying most of the time on advice from MG
owners, I thought here's a guy ought to be on the list. Lives in splendid
isolation
in a renovated ancient schoolhouse along the Rio Grande, does all his own
wrench work.
