Okay all you gurus.... I just pulled an engine out of an early spit....
engine #GA119875HE ... can anyone identify it??????
It is definitely triumph of some origin, but does not appear to be spit.
Any help would be appreciated.

Tom, it's a circa 1963-64 Herald engine. Essentially it's the same on the
bottom end as the early Spitfire 4 and Mk2 1147, with the major difference
being
the camshaft. Heads are also similar, but there are lots of detail
differences. (Of course, it's possible that someone long ago replaced ONLY the
"short"
block and kept the Spitfire head...and possibly even the camshaft.)

*Mrs Irrelevant: Oh, is it a jet?
*Man: Well, no ... It's not so much of a jet, it's more your, er,
Triumph Herald engine with wings.
