 Sorry to hear of your woes - hope this helps:
AFAIK, no GT-6 input shaft would ever fit a TR gearbox; I suspect you have a
complete
factory TR close ratio set, which uses the same 1" x 10 spline input as the
GT-6.
These gearsets have been unavailable for some time. However, they have been
remade
with original ratios, as a set, using the ubiquitous 1" X 23 Ford spline. I
can break a set if you like;
you'd need a change of clutch plate, of course, but Ford plates tend to be
rather cheaper than TR plates
for some reason...---
