The crank I just broke was one of the ones Jack used, along with the
rest of the engine.  I don't know how many races Jack did with it but I
did 16 vintage weekends after I got it so I'd say it earned its right to
give up the ghost.  Typically I try to shift at 6500 but on one occasion
when the flywheel bolts sheared the telltale was at 9100.  That was at
least 12 events ago so apparently there was no crank damage that time.
It broke at the center main.

The spare engine is going back together with Jack's other crank,
Carillos and his original popup pistons, so hopefully it'll be OK.  Don
