One of the big things I learned racing sailboats was "when contemplating
going to the hardware store, be certain to make a LIST". If you don't you'll
wonder why you are there.

Kas didn't mention that he's set up to take Paypal. For any of you who,
like
me, can't actually get up to find an envelope, check and stamp without
wandering through the house trying to figure out where you were headed and
what you were doing (it's at least a two hour adventure for me, that
usually
includes some unplanned work on a car) it's a nice alternative to just go
to
paypal and stick in his email address.
This morning I drove over to oil filter specialties to get a AN3 male
elbow.
Intended to drive right over and right back. On the way I realized how
close
Hall Tools is to Oil Filter specialties. Two hours later and quite a bit of
cash later I went through downtown Portland and noticed Borders Bookstore.
I
got back to the house four hours after I left, and I didn't even eat any
lunch. I had three bags of stuff--and I took everything out and couldn't
find the fitting.
As I wrote the paragraph above, I thought to check my pocket. Yup. At least
I saved a trip tomorrow.
