Yes, I've done it on my 3A daily driver many times. Those rubber bushings
seem to rot away in just a year or two, while the other pivots will last
many years under ordinary street use (especially if you grease them once in
awhile).
And it's a lot easier since it saves compressing the spring and whatnot. I
had to compress the suspension a little to get the nut off the ball joint
(which can be left in place on the vertical link), but just used a jack & a
block of wood near the trunnion to do so. I left the hub and brakes in
place, too. Be careful not to let the vertical link flop out and strain the
brake hose.
Eventually I changed the inner bushings to Nylatron, so I've not changed
them in quite a few years now.
