Here's CVAR rules. As long as you have a current licensse you'll be OK.
Driver Licensing
PURPOSE:
Due to the rapid growth of spectator and non-spectator
motorsports events, the various types of facilities utilized, safety
concerns and the concurrent liability associated with motorsports,
Corinthian Vintage Auto Racing Corporation (CVAR) requires that all
competitors be qualified, trained and licensed or be enrolled in the CVAR
driver training program to participate in vintage or historic multi-vehicle
competition/racing events.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS and TRAINING:
Any CVAR member in good-standing that is over the age of 16 years may make
application for a National Vintage Motorsports Council Competition License.
To make an application for a new VMC License, the following steps are
required:
All drivers must have completed a vintage competition driving school
regardless of their background. Drivers coming from other forms of racing
are required to complete a vintage driving school to assist them in the
transition to the "vintage attitude" of racing. After completion of a
vintage driving school (completion meaning completion of the full weekend)
with no incident or rule infraction, two more full weekends must be
completed as a Novice driver (with no incident or rule infraction) to be
eligible to make application for a license. Upon entering a CVAR driver's
school a driver will be issued a Novice Permit. It is the driver's
responsibility to have this form signed off by his/her instructor and the
Chief Steward at the successful completion of the school weekend. When all
three weekends are signed off, the driver must complete a VMC License
Application form. This form, with the original CVAR Physical form (medical),
two passport size photos, and a check in the amount of $25 made out to VMC
are then sent to the CVAR Race Chairman for sign off and forwarding to VMC.
Keep a copy of your Physical form for your files. The license will be issued
by VMC and sent to the driver.
DRIVER'S SCHOOL
To enter a CVAR Driver's School, a driver must be a current member of CVAR,
present a current completed CVAR Physical Form, along with the entry form
for a race prepared car that meets CVAR rules and regulations, and pass the
CVAR Tech Inspection.
Friday's Driver's School will consist of orientation/debriefing classroom
sessions stressing safety, vintage attitude, flag communication, rules of
the road, and track racing line, interspersed with multiple on-track
sessions.
Saturday will consist of four on-track sessions. Typically, the first two
sessions will be run under a yellow flag to allow familiarization with the
feel of the car and the track. The third session will start under yellow
conditions, followed by three rolling starts. The green flag will be dropped
at the start/finish and the track will return to yellow at turn 2, where the
field will gather itself up for the next start at the start/finish line. The
fourth track session the cars take the will be led by the pace car, and will
take the green flag for a full green race session.
With the approval of the driver's instructor, the driver will move to the
normal group for the driver's car on the second day and run as a novice,
with an "X" on the back of the car. Sign off of the driver's Novice Permit
by the driver's instructor and the Chief Steward at the successful
completion of the weekend is required (this is the driver's responsibility
to get these signatures).
Following the successful completion of the school weekend, the driver is
eligible to enter two more events as a "novice". At these events, the driver
will be judged by the Chief Steward and the driver's group peers. Upon
successful completion of each of these weekends, it is the driver's
responsibility to get the Chief Steward to sign off on his/hers Novice
Permit.
The three weekends must be completed within a 12 month period. With three
weekends signed off, the driver may apply for a VMC license.
LICENSING
As a member of the Vintage Motorsports Council (VMC), CVAR relies upon the
VMC to issue competition licenses. VMC in turn relies upon CVAR to submit
accurate and true license applications and medical forms. These forms
provide evidence of qualifications upon which VMC will issue a competition
license. The VMC issued license expiration date is based on the date of the
doctor's signature and the driver's age.

16 through 35 years doctor signature date plus 5 years
36 through 59 years doctor signature date plus 2 years
60 years and up doctor signature date plus 1 year
VMC LICENSE RENEWAL
To renew a license you must have completed 3 race weekends in the previous
12 calendar months prior to the renewal date (without incident or rule
infraction).
Submit a VMC license renewal form, attach a current, original VMC club
Physical Form, 2 passport pictures, and a check for $25 made out to VMC, and
forward to the CVAR Race Chairman for approval and submittal to VMC. The
expiration date will be 2 years from the doctor's signature date on the
physical form.
