Don't powder coat the wheels. The powdercoat is flexible and will cover 
small cracks as they might occure. The wheels should be painted with brittle 
lacquer paint. This paint will not flex and if a crack occures in the wheel, 
the paint will also crack and will help make the crack more visible.
