Enjoy the Wine Country--it's a great race. I didn't get my entry in soon
enough, so I won't make it this time. Make sure you go to the party in
Sonoma Square, it's a ten, as is the driver's reception at the track. Also
be sure you get to the track EARLY. The paddock is very crowded because they
take a big chunk of it for a Jaguar driving experience.

General Racing is a bit more forgiving about tires at the Wine Country than
at the Historics. Your blue streaks are not actually permitted, but you can
probably get away with them. If you look at General Racing's rules for the
Wine Country http://www.generalracing.com/rules/car.html you'll see that
under C-1 and C-2 the allowed tires are Dunlop 204/Englebert/Blockley.

Sears Point (Infinion) is a wonderful track, but very tricky. If you haven't
driven there before take special care in the three little corners that
begin the back straight. They look simple but it's easy to get into trouble
there. Most people are suitably scared of the carousel and turn ten, but
lots of cars get in trouble between 7 and 8a. Spend some time in practice
getting them right. Turn 10 is FLAT OUT if you get the line right.

Great restaurants all over the place, but I especially recommend "The Girl
and the Fig in Sonoma.
