You beat me to the punch John. I have no idea what a positive ground  
magneto might be since there are NO WIRES to connect to ground. Of  
course the mag uses it's case as ground, but magnetos put out AC. One  
of the symptoms of a mag that's weakening is that one set of  
cylinders runs better than the other--the ones that have the spark  
wire going negative tend to fire easier since the center electrode is  
sharper than the side electrode so a spark doesn't need as high a  
voltage to fire.
