>From an old Ken Galanders article, I blocked this bypass feature completely
by tapping 1/4" pipe threads into the hole, and installing a 1/4" pipe plug.
My machinist did not think that it was a good idea to completely defeat the
cold oil bypass.
I then copied Greg Solow and shimmed the valve spring with some small
washers. It will still open, but at a higher pressure.
