Way back in the beginning of the TR-2 there was along extension onto the 
radiator.  It proved to not work too well as this vibrated and cracked at 
the radiator tank (my car 1954) and all the water fell out on the ground. 
Maybe work and last better if you plan a support.

In all my cars on the 1958-1972 era of Triumphs I had no header tank, filled 
the system through the heater hose connection at the back of the head from a 
tall filler funnel (about a foot high) and kept the petcock on the thermo 
housing open until water shot out, closed the petcock, then quickly pull out 
the funnel and replaced the plug.  this eliminated all air in the system 
which is paramount.Never lost any water expect when a head gasket was blown 
and nothing would have helped that condition.
