I use Harland Sharp on all my race engines.B They are available in 1.5 and
1.6 ratios.B They are very accurate in ratio from part to part.B The stock
rockers can be anywhere from 1.41 to as high as 1.48 in the same set from an
OE engine.B The advantage of using the higher ratio is the regrind cam can
have a larger base circle. There are other considerations like higher
acceleration of the valve event.B But all can beB overcome with a complete
valvetrain package.B Most aftermarket cams for spits are designed to use 1.47
to 1.5 ratio rockers - check with the cam mfgr.B The only problem I have seen
is clearance with the valve spring retainer on some combinations.

I bought the Harland Sharp for a Spitfire 1300/1500 and later found out
(per my engine builder) their ratio is incorrect by enough that he won't
use them and guarantee they'll be 100%. B SOOOO if someone wants a brand
new set for say a street car (incorrect amount isn't a big deal there) I
will sell them for 175.00 for a brand new set. Also have a used set that
came on a old race motor, they are available for 75.00!
