The thin castings were on Heralds and the thick ones were on the early
Spitfires that came into the USA.

I've got two of the aluminum bellhousings that came with my race car when I
bought it. B They are quite a bit different, different flange to engine
thickness, different ribbing, etc. B The heavier of the two is cracked in
several spots, most likely from what appears to be sheared flywheel bolts
and the flywheel floating around loose inside the bellhousing.

I'm going to be on the lookout for a second bellhousing to replace the
broken one and carry as a spare. B Does anyone know what cars these
originally came off of to aid me in my search? B Thanks in advance.
