Recently I had to swap out my water temp gauge. I have heard that the sending
unit that came with it needs to be in place for accurate readings. I've been
seeing a higher than usual reading is the reason for my question. The existing
tapped port is a #6 Brit parallel thread according to my local Parker Store
rep. instead of 3/8x18 pipe thread.
